THERE has been disruption this morning (January 11) on trains between Worcester and Birmingham.
Some rail users were hit be cancellations due to the knock-on effect of problems with overhead wires between Fire Ways and University stations.
The problems began around 7.30pm, and National Rail has said disruption is expected until 11am.
National Rail said: "Lines have now reopened following earlier damage to the overhead electric wires between Birmingham New Street and Longbridge.
"As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised.
"Disruption is expected until 11am."
West Midlands Railway has said customers can use their tickets onboard National Express West Midlands via any reasonable route at no additional cost.
Road transport has also been in operation between Longbridge and Bromsgrove/Redditch.
