A MAJOR route between Worcester and Malvern has finally reopened after drivers were experiencing two-hour delays due to flooding.

The A449 was running a contraflow at Powick roundabout and had 2-way traffic on Cromwell's side last night (Wednesday).

It led to two hours' worth of delays from Powick roundabout to Malvern Link.

Slow-moving traffic caused lengthy delays after part of the road became blocked due to the road being blocked.

The partial closure led traffic to back up onto Upton Road, Old Malvern Road, Temeside Way and Townsend Way.
