A charity's Malvern Hills branch has announced the rebranding of its Infant Feeding Support Group.

The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) charity has revealed that the 'Baby Latte' Infant Feeding Support Group will now be known as the 'NCT Baby Café'.

The rebrand aligns the group with the national NCT branding and has been celebrated as a milestone in the group's evolution.

It was originally established in 2005 and has been operating in the Malvern Hills area for almost two decades, providing infant feeding and breastfeeding support to parents.

Over the years, the group has relocated multiple times, residing in a few different locations including Prospect View, Children’s Centres, and finally since 2019, the Green Room at Malvern Cube.

Frances Thurlow, a breastfeeding counsellor who has been on the Malvern NCT Baby Café team since it began in 2005, said: "We are so proud of all the parents we have had the privilege to support on their feeding journeys.

"We've had an incredible journey under the 'Baby Latte' banner, and this transition is an opportunity to embrace a more unified national identity while staying true to our commitment to supporting parents to feed their babies."

A launch party is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17 at 10am in the Green Room in the Malvern Cube to celebrate the rebranding and the history of the group.

The team consists of four breastfeeding counsellors who provide evidence-based, non-judgmental, and parent-centered support.

The group also offers support to all parents with varying feeding methods, including breastfeeding, formula feeding, and introducing solid foods to infants.

Kathyrn Bancroft, the branch coordinator, said: "We are immensely grateful for the support of the National Lottery Community Fund, which has enabled us to continue our mission of supporting parents on their feeding journeys.

"Malvern Hills NCT is proud to
be a part of supporting new parents in our local community."
