Police have been carrying out speed checks in Leigh Sinton following a number of recent crashes in the area.

West Mercia Police said residents have raised concerns over speeding through the village and shared an image on social media of speed enforcement taking place.

A spokesperson said several drivers received “strong words of advice” and one traffic offence report (TOR) was issued.

TORs can be issued for offences that carry smaller fines of between £30 and £100 and carry no penalty points.

They can also be for offences that carry bigger fines of between £100 and £300 that come with either three or six points.
