THERE are flood warnings still in place across the River Severn as flood levels continue to rise. 

The red warnings on the River Severn warn properties are at risk of flooding.

The warning says: "Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions.

"Avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water.

"Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have."

The same red warning is in place on the river at:

  • South Worcester
  • Pitchcroft
  • Clifton and Severn Stoke
  • Court Meadow, Kempsey and Callow End
  • Dunns Lane, Upton 
  • East Waterside, Upton
  • Hanley Castle, Rectory Road in Upton and Saxons Lode
  • Hanley Road, Upton
  • Severn Ham, Tewskesbury
  • Waterside, Upton
  • Sandy Lane and Severnside

 

As of 8.15am the River Severn level at Diglis was at 4.81m, 2.8m being around the usual highest height.

The level at Barbourne was at 5.11m, the usual top being 3.35m.

The level at Kempsey Yacht Club was at 6.40m, the usual top being 5m.
