EVENTS at this year’s Autumn in Malvern have been well received, organisers say.
And one act even entertained diners in a Great Malvern restaurant.
The Nicolai Chamber Choir from Stockholm Cathedral, Sweden, attracted a good audience in Great Malvern Priory with an eclectic choral programme.
This included some outstanding solos by their star Soprano soloist, who held the audience spell-bound by her rendition of songs from Jenny Lind's repertoire.
The choir of 28 singers stayed at local hotels, and relaxed after the concert with an evening meal at Ask, the Italian restaurant.

Between courses, to the amazement of diners and staff, they sang Swedish Folk songs, including a special choral song for a wedding party on adjacent tables.
An illustrated talk on the Cornish Art Community was superbly presented, with rare images, by expert David Tovey, and almost sold-out.
The festival continues for the next four weekends, building to the Aldwyn Voices and European Union Chamber Orchestra concerts. For full information visit www.malvernfestival.co.uk
