A spokesperson for RSPCA Worcester and Mid Worcestershire said they welcomed the crew on Sunday (September 17).

They said: "We welcomed a very special guest to The Holdings, Japanese film and TV star, turned animal campaigner, Yuriko Ishida.

"As you can see, our 'Mighty Quinn' wasn't in the least bit starstruck.

"We are honoured to have been selected to take part in this documentary film.

"Yuriko is extremely keen to mirror the work of the RSPCA back home in Japan, and she was incredibly impressed with our facility and the way we care for our animals."

Claire Wood from the branch said the crew were impressed with the facilities that the branch has in Kempsey.

She said: “It was a pleasure to have the production company and Yuriko Ishida at our centre.

“It was wonderful to be able to show Yuriko and the team what we are doing for animal welfare in the Worcester area and to also explain the current animal welfare challenges we are also facing.

“They were really impressed with our facility, the space for the animals and how happy the animals are. They are keen to mirror the same system in Japan. They also spent time with our on-site shop volunteer, Lisa, and filmed her at home with her secure dog, Holly."

Ginger Cat Crafts will be holding a pop up shop on Sunday (September 24) from 12pm to 3pm at RSPCA Worcester and Mid-Worcestershire Branch in Holdings Lane, Kempsey.
