A hero businesswoman tackled a thief and chased him out of her shop in her flip-flops - months after wrestling two violent crooks.

Domonique Woodward, 32, is seen on CCTV following the hat-wearing thief around her perfume store in Malvern at around 4.45pm on Friday (September 8).

The man brazenly starts putting expensive bottles of perfume into a bag-for-life but brave Domonique leaps into action.

She grabs Paco Rabanne fragrances worth £250 from his bag before manhandling the stunned thief out of her shop.

At one stage the crook tries to snatch a bottle from a display shelf but brave Domonique, who is wearing flip-flops, shoves him outside.

Shockingly, it is the second time in five months Domonique has had to tackle thieves targeting her business, Fragrance House.

In April she fearlessly took on two thieves who were raiding her store, which she has run for 14 years.

CCTV shows Domonique block the doorway as the yobs plunder the shelves. One of the crooks even punches her before they flee empty-handed.

Recalling the latest incident, Domonique said: “This boy came in, I greeted him and we had a little chat.

“He looked to be in his late twenties and was wearing a tracksuit and a summer bucket hat even though it was raining, which I thought was odd.

“I just followed him over to one side of the shop and he started staring at the fragrances and picked one up and put it in his bag.

“Then he did the same with a second bottle. I was right in front of him but he didn’t seem to care.

“I asked him what he was doing and grabbed his bag and ripped it open and got the perfume bottles out.

“I was pretty stunned because he said 'you're not allowed to do that, it's my property'.

“In the bag I saw some other stolen things from nearby shops and I just said 'you're getting out of my shop, I'm not having this’.

“I wasn’t scared because he was pretty skinny and he looked quite shocked.

“He tried to grab more bottles from the shelf including some Lactose fragrances, but he fumbled them.

“He then made a last ditch dive for the end of the shelf but I grabbed hold of his arm, wheeled him round and pushed him out the door.

“The guy stunk of weed. He was clearly trying to steal stuff to sell on.”

Domonique called West Mercia Police, who attended the scene and took a statement.

But Domonique does not hold out hope of the criminal being caught.

She said: “When I first reported the two thieves in April I thought they might get caught but nothing has ever come of it.

“I’ve lost all hope now. The police do their best and say they’ll look into it but there is no deterrent.”

Inspector Dave Wise of the West Mercia Police Safer Neighbourhood team in Malvern said: ‘’Enquiries are ongoing into the shoplifting and assault that took place at the Fragrance House on the Worcester Road in Malvern on Friday, September 8 around 5.15pm.

“Our team continue to work hard to tackle business crime, including shoplifting. Responsible for delivering reassurance and crime prevention, the Safer Neighbourhood team have worked hard to encourage an active shop watch scheme to support retailers, worked with the community safety partnership to deploy CCTV cameras to obtain evidence and worked with patrol and investigation colleagues to pursue all reasonable lines of enquiry."
