THE best and worst GP surgeries have been ranked according to an annual patient satisfaction survey in the Worcester postcode area.

The GP Patient Survey 2023 has revealed our best and worst doctor's surgeries, according to residents who rely on their services.  

The independent survey is run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England, sent out to over two million people across the UK and is designed to reflect how people feel about their GP practice and their level of satisfaction about the experience.

The top-ranked surgery in our area for overall satisfaction is Cradley Surgery in Cradley, near Malvern with an overall satisfaction rating of 97.84 per cent.

The lowest ranked is St John's House in Bromyard Road with a satisfaction rating of 61.57 per cent. 

In the 2023 survey, 71.3 per cent of patients reported a good overall experience of their GP practice, lower than in 2022 (72.4 per cent).

This followed a larger decrease between 2021 and 2022.

Overall, many GPs recorded higher than average (71.3 per cent) satisfaction scores this year - 22 out of 33 GP practices scored above this threshold, the best - five in total - scoring over 90 per cent for satisfaction levels.
