CONCERNS over antisocial behaviour and possible cuckooing at a property in Malvern have led police to increase their visits to the home.

Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Police Team and Platform Housing are conducting regular visits to a home on Cotswold Road after reports.

It is believed the person who lives at the address is vulnerable.

The police are now working with Platform Housing to help stop the issue.

Cuckooing is when offenders take over other people’s homes and use them for their own purposes, often to store weapons or drugs.

PCSO Tudge said: "Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Police Team, along with Platform Housing, are regularly visiting an address on Cotswold Road following concerns of ASB and possible Cuckooing.

"Following concerns of anti-social behaviour and that the address may have been suffering from Cuckooing, the local Police Team have been working hard with housing to help stop the issues.

"We would like to reassure residents that our objective to keep our Community safe continues.

"Police visits in such situations are proven to help nip these types of issues in the bud.

"Should any Malvern residents have any such concerns for any individuals or properties on their street they can call 101, remaining anonymous if they so wish, online via www.westmercia.police.uk or by calling Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111."
