POPULAR Hereford burger creators, The Beefy Boys will be showcasing their talents on a brand new BBC series starring celebrity chef Tom Kerridge. 

Their journey will be featured in The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge on BBC2 at 8pm on Thursday, August 3. 

Founded in 2011 by four childhood friends, with a shared passion for quality local produce and American-style burgers, The Beefy Boys have quickly built up a solid reputation as creators of outstanding food in the culinary world.

Their journey began with extensive research and experimentation on friends and family, which eventually led to them winning the title of “Best Burger” at the UK’s biggest BBQ competition, Grillstock.

Since then, The Beefy Boys have represented the UK with their mouthwatering creations at The World’s Best Burger Competition in Las Vegas, and have most recently continued their impressive journey at the 2023 National Burger Awards, in which they won Burger of the Year.

Founding member Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy was also crowned Burger Chef of the Year. The award win came just days before the launch of their third restaurant in Cheltenham, after successful openings in Shrewsbury, and of course, Hereford.

“It’s been a tough few years for the hospitality industry, and we have had to adapt our business along the way to tackle the constant challenges that restaurant owners face," said Mr Murphy.

"We are so thrilled to be part of this new BBC series, and to share The Beefy Boys’ journey so far."

Viewers can look forward to an insider’s perspective of The Beefy Boy’s phenomenal journey in the BBC show, in which Gloucester-born chef Tom Kerridge will examine how they have transformed their passion into a thriving restaurant business with such a loyal following.
