MEET mum of two, Joanne, who has been visiting the confetti field near Pershore with her children and snapping the same picture in the exact same location every year.

Joanne Smith first took her children to The Confetti Flower Field in Wick, near Pershore, in 2015 when they were three and five years old.

While visiting, Mrs Smith took a "candid" photo of her children, Carla and Kian as they were holding hands and walking through the field.

She has been taking the same photo of her children in the same location for the past nine years.

An amalgamation of her photos was also posted on The Real Flower Petal Confetti Co's Facebook page and the post gained a lot of support. Several people even said they were inspired by the idea.

The mum said: "I just took the children nine years ago, we only live in Pershore so we're really lucky for it to be on our doorstep."

The family usually visit the fields because they are open around Kian's birthday.

Mrs Smith said: "We had never been before, I just captured that photo.

"The first picture was so candid, they were just walking in front of me and they were holding hands.

"And then the second year, I thought I would do the same photo."

Carla and Kian are now 11 and 13 and Mrs Smith said: "Now it's quite a struggle to get them to hold hands, but I will do it for as long as they let me.

"It's been crazy, I didn't expect it at all."

She said her children are also happy with the reaction their photos have been getting.

"Children are just children, they were happy about it, and they love going there.

"It is so beautiful and lovely to walk around."

However, the quirky idea has started to inspire other parents to do the same with their children.

"People have said to me that it's a lovely idea and they want to start doing the same."

Next year will be the tenth anniversary and she said: "We might get a canvas of all of them together after the tenth time.
