Malvern's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M50,to midnight, January 1 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M50 both directions jct one to jct two, no full closure in this location without approving the diversion.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A46, from 9pm July 5 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, jct seven to jct eight, carriageway closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal.

• A40, from 10pm July 13 to 6am July 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 11 to 9 - carriageway closure for central reservation works, junction 11 diversion via A40, A38 and A438 to re-join at M5, junction 9, junction 10 diversion via A4019, A38 and A438.

• A40, from 9pm July 17 to 6am July 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5, junction 9 to 11 southbound, carriageway closure for central reservation, diversion A438, A38 southbound, A40, M5 J11 entry.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
