One of the UK’s biggest celebrations of rural life returns to Malvern this weekend.

The Royal Three Counties Show is taking place at the Three Counties Showground from June 16-18 with a packed programme of events.

There’s always so much to see and do at the showground, so we’ve picked out some of the highlights.

1) Animal encounters

Head to the Farming Village for a chance to see and learn more about some friendly farmyard favourites, including the crowning of cattle, sheep, goat and pig champions across 900 classes.

The daily Grand Parade of Livestock is a highlight of the weekend, taking place in the Main Arena.

2) Entertainment

The Main Arena will host the remarkable under 18s motorcycle display team (the IMPS) and Pony Club Mounted Games on Saturday and Sunday, Paul Hannam’s Quad Bike display team on Friday, and the British Army Parachute Display Team, the Red Devils.

3) Food & drink

A gastronomic weekend awaits in the Food and Drink Theatre, with demos by renowned chefs, cheesemakers and butchers.

Malvern’s own Suki Pantal will add a tantalising twist to her daily demonstrations of spiced Indian cookey.

4) Celebrity special guests

Clarkson’s Farm favourite Kaleb Cooper will be making a guest appearance at the show on Saturday, June 17.

Royal Three Counties Show ambassador Adam Henson will be chatting to e- England rugby captain and Gloucestershire farmer Phil Vickery.

And JLS member and farmer JB Gill, will make an appearance in the new Future of Farming Zone. He’ll also be reading from his new children’s book, ‘Ace and the Animal Heroes’ in the Farming Experience Area on Sunday.

5) Shopping

A brand-new Royal Parade will offer an exclusive countryside shopping experience, complete with champagne bar, hosting some of the finest luxury countrywear retailers.

A walk around the Food & Drink Festival, with its tantalising smells and sizzling sounds, is sure to entice visitors into shopping for some delectable artisanal, locally produced food and drink.  

6) Family fun

A firm highlight for many is the Fur, Feather and Farm area where visitors can meet friendly alpacas and goats and discover more about the role bees play in our ecosystem and how they produce honey. Further opportunities for animal mad children to get close to sheep will be available in the new Farming Experience Area.

Day tickets are £23 for adults and children under 16 are free.
