THE CONSERVATIVE party would retain a majority in West-Worcestershire if a general election were to be held tomorrow.

According to the political forecasting website Electoral Calculus, all but six areas in the West-Worcestershire region would vote Conservative, with the remaining areas voting Labour.

These six Labour areas are Barnards Green, Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Pickersleigh, Upper Howsell and West.

The numbers shown are the best estimates for these figures but are not official.

The website uses the electorate figures for West-Worcestershire from the 2019 general election (76,240) to predict the outcome. 

Harriett Baldwin, MP for West Worcestershire, will stand as the Conservative candidate come the next election, currently expected to take place late in 2024

Mrs Baldwin said: “In 2010, 2015, 2017 and 2019 I have put forward my case for election as the Member of Parliament for West Worcestershire and I look forward to doing so again in the General Election in 2024, highlighting my track record of delivery for West Worcestershire.”

In Worcester, Electoral Calculus is predicting the Labour Party would see a landslide victory in Worcester across 15 political wards in Worcester.

Tom Collins is the Labour Party candidate for Worcester and said he was not surprised to see the predicted results.

However, Robin Walker, MP for Worcester, who has held his seat since 2010, remained confident that the Conservatives would see a victory despite announcing he would not be standing again.
