Visitors enjoying the Worcestershire countryside have been warned about the dangers of wildfires.
Upton upon Severn police have been patrolling around the Castlemorton and gullet quarry areas today (Sunday, May 14).
“Although it's nice to see so many people enjoying the common on such a fine day, we have had to remind people not to use any kind of barbecue due to the risk of wildfires.”
The county experienced a huge spike in the number of wildfires last summer.
The fire service dealt with more than 350 between June and August 2022, up 218 per cent on the year before.
