MALVERN has been named among the UK's coolest places to live.

Malvern ranked in the top 50 in a survey by supplement brand Naturecan about the country's coolest places to live.

Locations were ranked according to the number of independent shops per head of population, the range of cultural events, how ‘Instagrammable’ were the best features and their popularity as a location for films and TV shows.

The town ranked highly due in part to the music, theatre, festivals and all kinds of outdoor pursuits it offers.

Malvern offers fantastic places to have a bite to eat including The Cottage in the Wood, L’Amuse Bouche and The Fig and FAUN.

Malvern Theatres and Three Counties Showground also bring people from across the country to the town. 

And Malvern is of course overlooked by the beautiful Malvern Hills a popular place for ramblers. 

Malvern was ranked 37th on the list. 

Malvern also topped the local list ahead of Ombersley near Droitwich in second and Clent near Stourbridge, which came in third.

Bewdley near Kidderminster was fourth while Dodford near Bromsgrove came fifth.
