Erica Hinwood, sales manager at Nicol & Co’s Malvern office, said the historic building, constructed from Malvern stone in the Victorian era, had been converted into a home in 2009.

Trade directories from the turn of the 20th-century record that a ladies' private boarding school was based in the house, named Lindfield, in Avenue Road, between 1900 and 1912.

It was run by three sisters - Rosa Caroline, Clara Jane and Marian Lottie Graham.

Ms Hinwood said: “This former school house is now a stunning three-bedroom property that boasts many original features, including spacious rooms and high ceilings.

“The ground floor has large lounge and dining areas, a kitchen, shower room and utility storage room, while the first floor includes the three bedrooms, the master with an ensuite bathroom, and a separate family bathroom.

“There is also an attic which provides ample storage space, while the garden is accessed off the lounge and provides a private area for relaxing, al fresco dining.

“Along with the private gardens, the communal grounds are beautifully maintained.

“An off-road parking space is allocated within the communal parking area, and a second parking space is allocated behind the property via the private entrance.”

Ms Hinwood said that mains gas, electricity, water and drainage were all connected at the property, along with superfast broadband.

She added: “This fantastic property is within walking distance of Great Malvern and all of its amenities including many restaurants, coffee shops, the train station, theatre, Priory Park, and Waitrose.”

While the property is leasehold and subject to a service charge of £1,435 a year, the new owners will have a share of the freehold which is held in a dedicated management company.
