THE son of musician Nigel Kennedy, accused of being involved in a conspiracy to supply cocaine, has been back at Worcester Crown Court.

Sark Kennedy, son of violinist Nigel, appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday, (October 13). 

Kennedy, of Cowleigh Road, Malvern, is yet to plead to the one count he faces - conspiring with others to supply a class A drug, cocaine.

It is alleged by the prosecution that Kennedy was involved in the conspiracy to supply cocaine in Malvern between January 2020 and August 2021.

The hearing had expected to see an abuse of process application from the defence.

Prosecutor Siobhan Collins said the hearing could not go ahead as Tihomir Mak, defending, did not know what it was for and so could not represent Kennedy properly.

Judge Martin Jackson told Kennedy: "I'm sorry about this.

"You came to court expecting the application to be dealt with.

"The case will be adjourned until November 2."

The 26-year-old, of Cowleigh Road, Malvern, was reminded he has conditional bail, the condition being he must not contact - directly or indirectly - the co-accused in the case.

A trial date involving the other defendants has already been set for March 11, 2024.
