MALVERN Town manager Joe Rawle wants his side to buck up their ideas when they visit Willenhall Town tomorrow (3pm).

Town earned only their second British Gas Business Division One Midlands point since New Year's Day with a 0-0 draw at home to Barton Rovers last Saturday.

It was a match in which they had chances to take all three points, including Jamie Hyde's effort just past the post in stoppage-time.

However, they followed that result with a dismal 2-1 defeat against Cinderford Town at the Langland Stadium.

Rawle was furious to discover some of his team had played Sunday league football the day before and reckons they paid the price.

He said: "We played really well on Saturday. It could have gone either way and probably a draw was a fair result but we could have stolen it at the finish.

"However, Monday was totally different. It was just desperate. Cinderford were a poor side and we were even worse. Some had played on Sunday so were playing their third game in three days and they looked sluggish.

"It was nowhere near what they have been playing like. It was a poor performance. We will be looking to sort that on Saturday."

Rawle was pleased with the impact Nick Clayton, returning from a long spell on the sidelines through injury, made in the stalemate against Barton.
