MALVERN TOWN RESERVES 2, BILBROOK 2 MALVERN dominated the first 45 minutes with a superb display of fast-flowing football yet came off at half-time 2-1 down.

The main problem for Malvern was conceding too many free-kicks in dangerous places and this was the case when Bryan Craven fouled 35 yards out. Bilbrook's Karl Roberts chipped Town's defence and Chris Weston nipped in, beating Mark Wright from a tight angle.

Craven almost made amends on 13 minutes when he burst through, but his last touch let him down as the keeper won the race to the ball and cleared the danger. Malvern equalised on 17 minutes as Joel Skyers charged down the right wing and crossed to the far post where Craven had the easiest of jobs heading home.

Malvern dominated the next 20 minutes and chances fell to Craig Selby and Oliver Reid, before Joe Leighton gave away a needless free-kick. Wright did well to fist the initial ball away but it fell to Ryan Parkes who hammered the ball back through a melee of players to allow the visitors to go in 2-1 up at the break.

Both sides conceded numerous free-kicks and this worked in Bilbrook's favour as Malvern totally lost their rhythm. Town eventually won a corner which was delivered by Paul Edwards and Leighton headed home with tremendous power to level the scores for the second time.

Bilbrook hit Malvern's crossbar twice in the final 10 minutes and the last opportunity fell to Leighton, but this time he headed straight into the keeper's arms.
