Louise Redknapp has praised the “great crowd” at Lakefest following her set.

The singer shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram after performing at the family-friendly festival on Saturday (August 13).

“Thank you Lakefest,” she posted. “You were a great crowd yesterday, thanks for having me… it was definitely a hot one last night!!!”

“Me, the band and the girls had a fab time! It’s been years since I used a mic with a lead!”

Louise, known for hits including Let’s Go Round Again and Naked, was just one of the big names perfoming at Lakefest.

In all, more than 120 acts played across nine stages over the four days.

Festival-goers also saw the legendary Red Devils parachute display team, daily stunt shows from the BMX Bandits and had the chance to unwind in Lakefest’s crafting area or wellness area.

'We love you Lakefesters'

A fun fair, silent disco, retro gaming arcade, circus performers and live wrestling shows also added to the wide range of entertainment on offer.

The festival, held at Eastnor Castle Deer Park near Ledbury, was celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Its organisers took to Facebook to pay their own tribute to not only those who attended but to the people who made the event happen.

“So the sun has set on another Lakefest and we just want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you that came to celebrate our 10th anniversary event,” they said, “we love you Lakefesters!

“And to all the hardworking crew, organisers, traders, partners, sponsors, suppliers, volunteers and performers that worked round the clock in challenging conditions to pull it all off, thank you! and see you next year!”

As temperatures soared over the festival’s four days, campers were banned from using barbecues, log burners or starting open fires.

An area of the campsite was cordoned-off to allow people to use gas cooking appliances.
