A woman caught drug driving on the motorway has been banned for 18 months.

Nadia Shah drove a Porsche Macan on the M5 in Worcestershire with cannabis in her system and without car insurance on February 28.

She was caught on the exit slip road at junction 5 for Droitwich.

The 29-year-old admitted the offence when she appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 9.

Shah, of Highfield Road, Tipton, was fined £250 for drug driving and was disqualified for 18 months.

She was also fined £250 for driving without insurance and told to pay a £34 victim surcharge and costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Shah has until September 6 to pay the balance of £669 to the court.
