A STOLEN motorbike was found abandoned in the River Severn by a walker.

Chris Wordley came across the pictures of the motorbike whilst visiting Worcester, adjacent to the Worcester Sea Cadets Training Centre, Diglis.

The bike can be seen at the bottom of the steps, with half of the vehicle submerged by water.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Police received a number of reports from members of the public after a motorbike was spotted in the River Severn, Worcester, near to the sea cadets.

"The vehicle has since been recovered by the Canal and River Trust, and the owner updated as to its location after the vehicle had been reported as stolen.

"If you have any information that could help officers with their enquiries, please report this online under the Tell Us About section of the West Mercia Police website quoting reference 133i of 3 August.

"If you are unable to report this online, please ring 101."
