PROTESTORS have been pictured outside of Worcester Racecourse with a race day event underway.

The protest is calling on the racecourse to stop horse racing events outside of the Family Fun-Day racing event.

The protestors can be seen holding signs which say stop the suffering", "against cruelty to animals" and "dealers in death."

The event features inflatables, face painting and the usual day of racing for avid fans.

Racing started from 1pm this afternoon, with the gates opening earlier at 11am.

We have contacted Worcester Racecourse to comment on the protest.
