THE number of Covid patients has continued to fall following the welcome trend of recents weeks.
NHS data shows there were 61 Covid patients in county hospitals - Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch - on Friday, May 20.
And in further good news there were no people in an ICU beds fitted with a ventilator on that date.
That is a fall from a week ago when, on May 12, there were 77 Covid patient and one on a ventilator.
Meanwhile NHS data reveals there have been five coronavirus deaths announced for county hospitals this week.
The five deaths all came at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust sites, bringing its total to 1,075.
The number of deaths at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust sites has stayed at 74.

In total there have been 1,149 covid deaths at Worcestershire hospitals during the pandemic.
The latest vaccination figures, up to May 19, reveal that 87.1 per cent of Worcestershire adults have had a first dose of a Covid vaccine, 83.7 per cent have had a second, while 69.8 per cent have had a booster.
