A NEW smokehouse style restaurant has confirmed its official opening date.

Fat Eddie’s Smokehouse has confirmed it will be fully opening on May 28 after a recent successful soft opening.

The restaurant is currently open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The restaurant announced earlier this month that they have a new permanent Worcester branch at the Severn Vue Bar, on Newport Street.

Ed Vickery, the owner of Fat Eddie's, said: "We had a soft opening recently and the feedback we had from everyone was really amazing.

"Everyone seemed to enjoy our food and my main aim now is to get opened up and to have more of Worcester experience what we have to offer.

"We are looking to have our official opening date later month of May 28, with a party to celebrate.

“The menu is all homemade and local produce. The beef is from Bishop's farm in Blakeshall, Wolverley, which is run by Andrew Bishop's family who is the co-owner and head Chef at Fat Eddie's Smokehouse.

"Our motto is stay safe, shop local, support local business”

The restaurant already has a location situated in the car park of The Lock Inn, on Wolverley Road in Kidderminster.

Fat Eddie's is famous for its seven-hour ‘Smoked Brisket Stack’ and ‘Bishops’ famous big burgers.

Other items on the Fat Eddie's menu include:

  • Scrumpy pork pie
  • Beef burnt ends
  • Beef ribs
  • Dirty fries with bacon & nacho cheese sauce
  • Dirty fries with chilli & nacho cheese sauce

The restaurant has also announced that it has an official app where you can order food from the menu to takeaway.

The serving hours for the restaurant have been confirmed as:

  • Thursday - 4:30pm - 8pm
  • Friday - 4.30pm - 8pm
  • Saturday - 12pm - 8pm
  • Sunday -12pm to 8pm.

According to its website, all the meat, fruit and vegetables are locally sourced, with the restaurant's mission statement being "stay safe, shop local, support local business”.

The restaurant will be open to customers on a walk-in basis, with private bookings also available and a private balcony venue for hire.
