THE number of Covid patients in Worcestershire hospitals continues to fall from the highs of earlier this year.
NHS data shows there were 77 Covid patients in county hospitals - Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch - on Thursday, May 12.
And one person was in an ICU bed and fitted with a ventilator on that date.
In comparison, a month ago on April 14, there were 159 Covid patients and no one fitted with a ventilator.
Meanwhile NHS data reveals the number of coronavirus deaths in Worcestershire hospitals has reached a total of 1,144 people.
