Worcester News: Cllr Jabba RiazCllr Jabba Riaz

Cllr Jabba Riaz said: "January to February is just after the Christmas break and usually the quietest time.

"Regardless of that we see an improvement and it's welcome news that figures have gone down for that period.

"Overall, Worcester is a safe place to visit and the majority of crimes happen in the city centre due to our night-time economy.

"A lot of the crime is violence, sexual and anti-social behaviour which is worrying.

"We want our night-time economy to be safe and this is where a lot of police resources need to be focused."

"It is something hopefully we want to work with the Worcester BID on so that our night-time economy is as safe as possible for everyone, in particular girls and women. "
