PEOPLE in Malvern hoping to donate to the Ukrainian refugee effort can do so outside the Waitrose in the town.
Malvern Rotary Club is taking donations outside Waitrose on May 6 and 7.
This follow's its earlier appeal which raised more than £7,000 for the DEC Humanitarian Appeal
A spokesperson said: "The Malvern Rotary club’s previous collections in March and April were very successful with over £7,000 donated to this humanitarian cause.
"There were a few surprises during the collections, one being the surprise appearance of an internationally renowned Ukrainian opera singer who burst into song outside the Waitrose store and serenaded the Rotary members who were collecting at the time.
"The Ukrainian opera singer was so moved to see how the local people were supporting Ukraine he also agreed to attend a Malvern Rotary club meeting, which was filmed by the BBC and televised in the central midlands area."
