We have compiled a list of dog-friendly pubs to visit throughout Malvern.

Using the website dogfriendly.co.uk, we have gathered a list of pubs in the area where both man and their four-legged companions alike can stop in for a drink or two.

According to the available data, 13 pubs across Malvern advertise that they are dog friendly using the site.

DogFriendly is an online website that details locations and venues across the UK that are suitable for dogs.

The site has more than 50,000 businesses registered on their databases, and the information is gathered by contacting every hotel and pub on the search directory once a year to ensure that they are still dog friendly.

Lisa Bircham, the owner of The Morgan Public House, said: " We have a dog ourselves so we know how important they are to people.

"We have a lot of customers that love going for walks in and around Malvern with their dogs, and will stop in for a drink afterwards.

"I think as long as dogs have a lead and they are well behaved they are no trouble at all to have in the pub."

Malvern Town Councillor, Lou Lowton, said: "I do not go anywhere without my dogs, I think dog-friendly organisations are a brilliant idea and I have never heard of any issues with pubs allowing dogs in.

"I think it is really healthy, people in Malvern seem incredibly happy that so many places are dog friendly.

"From what I have noticed, the customers always seem to enjoy it as well, and I find it is the places that are not dog friendly that tend to be less successful."

According to the Blue Cross, there is no law or any health and safety regulations that ban dogs from being in premises where food and drink is served or sold.

However, they must not enter areas where food is prepared, handled or stored.

It is up to the owner whether they’d like to welcome dogs.
