POLICE want to speak to a passer-by who helped a woman who was knocked over by a vehicle she was getting into. The woman hit by the car later died.

The woman was knocked over by a Nissan Qashqai, which police say rolled back as she was trying to get in it.

It happened on Monday, January 17, at a property on Graham Road.

After being checked over she carried on with her journey but later collapsed.

She was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital where she died at around 3.25pm.

Now, police are hoping to speak to a woman who assisted her as she is believed to have witnessed the incident.

The witness is believed to have been driving a “white SUV type vehicle”.

Police are also asking anyone who may has any information or dash-cam footage of the incident to contact 101, quoting reference number 414i of 17 January or report it online via www.westmerciapolice.uk/tua/tell-us-about/.

Alternatively, can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers, which is 100 per cent anonymous, online or by calling 0800 555 111.
