ANOTHER of Malvern's most popular annual events is returning for 2022.

The Malvern Festival of Ideas is returning to the town, bringing with it discussion and debate of the key issues facing society.

Malvern Festival of Ideas is a multidisciplinary weekend of events on with the theme for the 2022 weekend being "Imagine."

A festival spokesman said: "With our wealth of art, science, literature and history, what is the world we imagine?

"What is the future of democracy, the Union, the health and education services and the environment?

"Can we imagine a world where we act for the benefits of the earth’s communities?

"What steps should we be taking?

"These are just some of the questions we hope to address."

This year's speakers include former Cabinet minister Dominic Grieve QC, who will be discussing better governance and government.

Other speakers include George Waddell on Orwell and Afraa Hashem on five years of fighting in Aleppo, Syria.

Events will be held at Malvern St James Girls School and the Malvern Cube over the weekend of March 4 to 6.
