Drivers have experienced major delays this morning as the removal of temporary traffic lights has been postponed due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.
The lights were due to be removed from London Road at 3.30pm yesterday, however, workers hit an unexpected snag meaning they remained in place throughout last night and this morning.

As a result, drivers have faced tailbacks in both directions on London Road, with heavy traffic building up past the Esso garage.
Queues have also started to form on Whittington Road, with cars backed up across the roundabout connecting Swinesherd Way and towards the motorway.
Similar delays were seen throughout yesterday, with a later crash between a taxi and a minivan causing further issues last night (January 24).
The lights, which are in place near the junction with Sebright Avenue due to roadworks being carried out by Openreach to upgrade the broadband, are now expected to be in place until Wednesday.
Worcestershire Highways said: "There has been complications with BT works near Sebright Avenue, meaning traffic lights were not able to be removed as planned."
