HEREFORD have signed forward Momodou Touray on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old is on loan from parent club Salford City after a previous loan spell at Bath City.

He scored on his league debut for Bath before picking up an injury.

Touray has also played for Wales under-19 and under-21 sides and started his career with Newport County.

The youngster also scored against Hereford at Edgar Street for Bath in their 2-1 pre-season victory.

"He can play number nine, he can play 10 or out wide, he's a good player," said Hereford manager Josh Gowling.

"He played against us in pre-season for Bath and was there for a period.

"He's a good player. I tried to get him at the start of the year and last year as well.

"I know him well. He's big, strong, quick with good feet and he can link up play well.

"He's also a good finisher. He'll be really good for us from now until the end of the season."

With Touray able to play across the forward line Gowling says that the Gambian-born striker will provide competition.

"It just gives us options all over," added Gowling.

"We've just got to get some consistency with our front four and we've probably not had that as much as we'd like.

"Bringing somebody in with his competitiveness in the squad can only help.

"If those lads are not doing it then we've got someone to replace them.

"We've probably only got one natural number nine which is Jaanai Gordon with Mo coming in he can fill that slot really well.

"If Tom (Owen-Evans) takes a niggle or anything then you can stick Mo in at 10 as well which is something with Harry (Pinchard) injured that we don't have.

"He gives us some really good options."
