The five-day trial of a man charged with neglecting several horses is set to get underway.
Samuel Duckworth is accused of causing five horses 'unnecessary suffering' in the village of Wichenford by failing to investigate poor bodily conditions and weight loss.
The 41-year-old is also facing a separate charge for failing to provide adequate nutrition, shoeing, parasitic control and veterinary attention in respect of the animal's poor conditions and their needs.
Duckworth, of Five Star Stud, Newmarket Road, Cambridgeshire pleaded not guilty to both offences listed under the Animal Welfare Act on Thursday, August 5.
His trial was previously set to commence on September 12, 2022, after being adjourned during a case management hearing in December last year.
However, it has been brought forward to this Monday (January 24) at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court.
