AN elderly man had to be rescued after getting his leg trapped in a mobility scooter in Malvern.

Emergency services were called after the man became trapped at the junction of Edith Walk and Graham Road.

This was after a crash between his mobility scooter and a car.

Two crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called out along with paramedics and police officers.

Fire crews were able to release the man's leg from the mobility scooter and hand it over to the emergency services.

Police thanked the efforts of staff from Waitrose in helping with the incident.
