PARENTS are being warned that time is running out to submit their applications for children starting school in September 2022.

Applications close at midnight on Saturday, January 15 for places at Worcestershire's primary, first, infant, junior and middle school in September 2022.

Councillor Marcus Hart, cabinet member with Responsibility for Education at Worcestershire County Council, said: “It is a big step for young people starting school or transitioning to a new school.

"Our team work hard each year to make sure that transition is as smooth as possible, but it is important that the application deadline is met.

“Every child that has applied for a place over the last few years has been offered one and we are really proud of how many people get to attend their first choice school.

"In order to ensure this continues, we would remind parents to try and apply as early as possible and make sure that the deadlines for admissions are met to avoid missing out on a 2022 place.”

People can apply at worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions and last minute changes are possible up to 12am on closing day.
