MASKED Singer viewers have said they have Panda's identity worked out - and they believe it's none other than Malvern pop star Cher Lloyd.

Many viewers of the hit ITV singing competition, where contestants keep who they are a secret by being hidden by a mask, have so far been stumped by the identity behind the Panda Bear costume.

But some have been expressing their theory it is the 28-year-old who shot to fame on another ITV singing show, the X-Factor, 11 years ago.

Kate Sanderson wrote on Twitter: "I think Panda could be Cher Lloyd."

Wayne Pontin said: "Panda is Cher Lloyd I can hear her."

Kelly Edmunds was another who said: "I think Panda is Cher Lloyd."

After ITV tweeted a video of Panda next to a sign saying 'Talent Show Musical Night' and asked who Panda was, Lou replied: "Cher Lloyd - she was on a talent show and was at the panda rock out in 2012."

Panda's clue in the show to their identity was: "I'm guess what you call an introverted extrovert," to which judge Davina McCall said: "So shy but outgoing".

Panda's performance of Levitating by Dua Lipa in week one impressed the judges, but none of them guessed the global star as Jonathan Ross thought it was TV presenter Helen Skelton and Mo Gilligan guessed it might be Emily Atack.

Other viewers have not been convinced it is the former Chase School and Dyson Perrins CE Academy pupil with some guessing Alesha Dixon and Natalie Imbruglia could instead be behind the mask.

According to the show’s host Joel Dommett, Panda is the “cutest costume” the show has ever had, saying in an interview: "Panda is just really brilliant, they really get involved in the character, they bring so much to it. They are one the best characters on the show ever, they are brilliant.”

Cher Lloyd rose to fame when she came fourth on The X-Factor, and released Swagger Jagger which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.

If the Malvern pop star is behind the mask it will cap a busy past 12 months for the singer having released 'Baddest', which she worked on with Grammy Award winner Imanbek while juggling motherhood with husband Craig Monk.
