AN alleged sex offender has been arrested for inciting a child to carry out sexual acts after he was confronted by so-called 'paedophile hunters'.

The 27-year-old man was filmed by 'Fleetwood Enforcers UK' who live streamed the encounter as he was cornered at an address in Camp Hill Road, Battenhall, Worcester on Sunday.

A Facebook live video, which lasts over an hour, shows the man outside the city address although he told the group he did not live there. It is understood he sent Facebook friend requests to at least two teenage girls before entering into a chat with them, including sending and asking for indecent photos.

A group representative speaks to the suspect, asking him to confirm that it is him in the online profile which he does. The man then tells the defendant her first message to him was: "Hi, I'm 13."

He goes on to say he has evidence of the suspect communicating with two underage girls.

The interviewer then tells the man he lied because he had messaged one girl to say he was 20 years old before he started calling her 'love'.

"You give her your phone number and ask for pictures. You ask for full body pictures and say she is cute in all her pictures" says the man.

In one message the girl asks him if he knows she is only 13. He is said to reply: "Yeah, I know you are 13 lovely."

The man continues: "Why are you speaking to a 13-year-old child?"

The suspect says he had blocked her. However, the man from the group responded: "You may block her now, yes."

He added: "What I'm here to talk about is what possessed you to go online to prey upon our children?"

The man tells the suspect he has 210 screenshots of evidence against him, including messages from him 'begging' the children for nude pictures. He is also shown a picture he is said to have sent.

"Is that yours?" the man said, referring to the image. The suspect replies 'yes' and adds: "I apologise."

One message was said to read: "If you don't send me a naked picture I hate myself, I'm going to kill myself."

The suspect was said to have sent crying emojis when the girls he was communicating with did not send naked photos to him. One woman on the video says: "It's all on him. He decided to send the friend request to the children." She also says the suspect's family are 'devastated'.

"He has just realised he has completely wrecked his life" she said.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "A 27-year-old man from Worcester was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause/incite a child to engage in sexual activity. He was arrested in Worcester on Sunday, December 5 and has been bailed while the investigation continues."
