TWO Christmas concerts are coming to Malvern's Holy Trinity Church this month.

To get residents in the festive spirit, the church is playing host to Holy Trinity Augmented Choir's shows on December 12 and 19.

The first, which starts at 6.30pm with mulled wine and mince pies being served from 5.45pm, is a service of lessons and carols.

A common theme in the music is the importance of Bethlehem to the Christmas story.

The second service is a more traditional nine lessons and carols on December 19 at 10.30am, with refreshments after the service.

Charles Pavey, organist and choirmaster at Holy Trinity, said: "With an age range of about 60 years, the Choir has a wealth of experience from many long-standing singers as well as a number of new singers who have brought other musical influences with them.

"The Carol Services will be two contrasting occasions, creating an atmosphere of both peace and excitement during the build-up to Christmas itself."

The services are both being held at Holy Trinity Church, Link Top, Malvern.
