A PEUGEOT driver was stopped by police twice in one day for driving with illegal tyres.
Police officers pulled over the same driver over twice within hours of each other today (Monday) for having bald tyres.
OPU Worcestershire first stopped the Peugeot in Malvern and on inspection it was found to have two defective front tyres.
Officers discovered they were below the legal requirement of 1.6mm and prohibited it from being driven as well as reported the driver.
Despite not being allowed to drive the car, just three hours later the officers pulled the same vehicle over again.
This time it was stopped at junction six of the M5 motorway with the same defects and prohibition still in place.
Driver was reported for same defects and breaching prohibition.
However, this time they will also face court and the vehicle was seized.
