PEOPLE in Malvern have been getting into the festive spirit early this year.

We asked on Facebook if any of our readers were putting up their decorations already, and they did not disappoint.

A number of people around Malvern already have their lights up, with some even using it as an opportunity to raise money for good causes.

Lewis Allard shared a photo of his lights, which are being used to help raise £200 for the neo-natal unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

For more details about that fundraiser, which has already smashed its target, go to www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/theallardschristmaslights?

Martin Hill in Malvern Link is again raising money to help the Midlands Air Ambulance with his stunning display.

And for people waiting for Malvern's main Christmas lights to be switched-on, there isn't long to wait.

Mayor of Malvern Cllr Nick Houghton will be turning on the lights at 6pm on December 1, with the switch-on having been delayed by Storm Arwen.
