A POPULAR Christmas event in Malvern which has raised thousands for good causes returns this winter.

The Barnards Green Extravaganza sees traders hold their annual morning of fun activities, classic cars, shopping and even a visit from Santa.

This is to say thank you to the community for their support over the year and to spread some Christmas cheer while supporting local traders.

Jenny Cain, head of Barnards Green Traders said: "This year we are including a Guess the Weight of Christmas Competition, Crazy Golf, Face Painting and Fairground Stalls amongst others.

"Both the Fire Brigade and Police will be bringing vehicles for little people to explore.

"As always, we are raising money for a local charity and this year it is the turn of Action Deafness.

"The deaf community have suffered during Covid and continue to do with the use of masks which have in some cases severely limited face to face conversations when the person is not able to lip read.

"This money will be used locally to support and encourage local get togethers and much a much-needed support network."

In addition to these events, the Morgan Motor Company bus will roll into town and be the base for Santa's Grotto during the day.

The event is on December 4 and runs from 10am until 1pm.

Over the years, it has raised in excess of £15,000 for good causes.
