MALVERN has a new world record holder.
Kieran Deegan set a new Guinness record for running the London Marathon dressed as a ventilator.
This made him the fastest runner as a piece of medical equipment.
The 37 year-old, who works as a technician on ventilators, ran the marathon in three hours 23 minutes.
Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records were on hand to confirm his time.
He said: "It went really well - the costume held together really well but the body, not so much."
Mr Deegan is raising money for the charity Against Breast Cancer and has raised more than £2,000.
