The region has lots of great choice when it comes to vegetarian and vegan restaurants with many in Worcestershire.

Here's the top 6 for you to try:

Be the Change

New Street and Cornmarket

You are spoiled with choice with Be the Change.

If you want coffee and cakes then head to the cafe in Cornmarket or if it is a full meal you are after, try the restaurant in New Street.

Both eateries are a hit with people who enjoy a plant-based diet or those who want a break from meat.

A tripadvisor reviewer says: "This place gets busy and it’s no wonder. The food is lovely. Staff are very friendly and the menus varied. Not completely sure how they do it but they do it well. We go back time and time again. Our favourite little eatery in Worcester."

Whichever Be the Change restaurant you choose make sure to have one of their cakes or desserts - they are amazing.

Eat.Love.Yoga

Comerton Road, Kidderminster

A cosy cafe and plastic free shop where you can also do yoga and Pilates - a perfect place where you can do it all.

Open Wednesday to Saturday, they have specially selected their coffee from Iron & Fire in Shropshire and the food ranges from a selection of salads, muesli and soups.

Their vegan cheese toasties are particularly delicious - I highly recommend them.

Greens Vegan Cafe

High Street, Stourport

You are always guaranteed a great welcome from Jude and Gela at Greens Vegan Cafe in Stourport.

There are home cooked meals to enjoy from the changing specials meal and amazing cakes too.

Try the chocolate cake - you won't know it is vegan.

The Fold Cafe

Coventry Street, Stourbridge

A little further out but definitely worth the journey - VGN Boulevard has an amazing menu which will leave you feeling full.

And if you have room, there is also a selection of delicious puddings too which you can take home if you don't want to miss out.

You have to book ahead and tables often get booked well in advance.
