The family of a women killed in a car crash in Lower Clopton have paid tribute.

On Thursday September 9 a woman was killed and several others were injured following a two-car collision on the B4632 Campden Road, between Mickleton and Upper Quinton.

Warwickshire Police have today, Wednesday September 22, identified the woman as Emily Hasson, 25, from Meon Vale.

The incident occurred when the black Nissan Micra Ms Hasson was driving collided with a white Land Rover Discovery at around 1:30pm that afternoon.

A statement released by the family said: “Taken from us too early, our beautiful daughter Emily leaves behind a three-year-old son.”

Ms Hasson was confirmed dead at the scene while three others were taken to hospital for serious injuries.

Two West Midlands ambulances were in attendance along with three paramedic officers, a community first responder as well as teams from both the Midlands Air Ambulance and Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews discovered two cars that had been in collision on their arrival, with six patients in total.

“The driver of one of the cars, a woman, had suffered serious injuries in the incident. Sadly, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”

They added: “From the second car, a man was airlifted to University Coventry Hospital and Warwickshire with serious injuries.

“A man and a woman were also taken to the same hospital by land ambulance after receiving treatment for potentially serious injuries.

“A further man and woman were assessed and discharged at the scene.”

Warwickshire Police have said today that enquiries into the crash are continuing and have asked anyone with information to contact them by calling 101, quoting incident 201 of September 9.
