AN estate agent in Malvern has "run out of homes" to sell after a surprisingly strong year.

Nicol and Co's new office in Malvern has completed sales on 49 properties since it opened this January, with another 17 under offer.

Because of this, the company has "ran out of stock" according to sales manager Nicola Hinwood.

She said: "We currently don’t have anything for sale, as every single one of the properties we have been marketing for sale is under offer.

"This is only a snapshot in time, and we have got new listings in the pipeline, with customers at various stages of signing their homes up with us.

"But this very temporary situation where we have ‘sold out’ of all our stock reflects on the swift and successful activity by the team here in the Malvern office."

The last property sold, subject to contract, by the team at Nicol & Co’s Malvern office was a five-bedroomed detached house at 41a Madresfield Road, which was on the market for £575,000.

Amanda Hermiston, the vendor of the property, said: “The team at Nicol & Co has provided a first-rate service and I can’t fault them in any way.

“Right from the outset they worked tirelessly on selling our property, pitching it just right to the marketplace, and then no call went unanswered, and none of our needs went unmet.

“As a result, our home was sold quickly and efficiently with an all-round fantastic service – which is not what you always get with estate agents.

“We’ve been buying as well, so have had lots of recent experience of estate agents, and I believe Nicol & Co could teach them all a few things.”

Ms Hinwood added that new stock that they soon hope to bring to market includes a property in Powick that requires modernisation, a lovely Victorian cottage in between Leigh Sinton and Malvern, and a low-cost home in Upton upon Severn.

Matt Nicol, managing director of Nicol & Co, which also has branches in Droitwich and Worcester, added: “This is great work by our Malvern team who are quickly and professionally selling everything that comes into the office.

“We are proud of their top performance and now look forward to their continued success in Malvern and across Worcestershire."
