MUMS and babies in Malvern met for their first post-lockdown meeting after a year of being apart.

The Malvern Pandemic Mums met at Bennett's Willow Barn on August 29 after a year of no antenatal classes, no groups and no socialising.

60 people came to the event, with more than 25 local businesses involved and contributing towards goodie bags and a competition pack worth more than £250 to the lucky winner.

Laura Cale, from the group, said: "Thank you each and every single one of the mums that may have been nervous to come to something like that as I know I would be.

"To go out of their comfort zone and to turn up to our Pandemic Mums Picnic at Willow Barn was simply amazing. We had queues to get in, A whopping 50 goodie bags flying out within the first hour.

"Seeing new friendships form, babies and toddlers socialising and a real feeling of togetherness with smiles all around was everything I had hoped for and more.

"With plans of another meet up already on the cards in December I am so excited for what this may bring to us in the future and I cannot thank you all enough for support.

"Lots of the local businesses that were involved already saying orders are coming through using discount codes.

"Just to take this moment to also send thanks to Bennett’s Willow Barn for allowing us to host at their beautiful venue."
