A MALVERN company is celebrating being crowned winners in a prestigious business award.

Malvern Panalytical was named Business of the Year in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce business awards this month.

It won the award in recognition of its work helping in the community, as well as developing young talent and maintaining excellent customer relations.

The company triumphed over dozens of companies from across the two counties, with the award being handed over at the main event at Worcester Arena on September 2.

A spokesman said: "The award was based on the company must be a long-standing local business making significant contributions to their local community, one that nurtures young talent and they should have excellent customer relations.

"Anticipation and excitement were high when the judges stepped onto the stage to announce the winner – Malvern Panalytical.

"A testimony to the commitment of each and every member of the company.

"Winning the ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ award is a true testament our teams' ongoing hard work and our excellent engineers managing to grow self and remote service concepts, predictive maintenance, and digital service models despite the challenges that the pandemic imposed.

"A huge congratulations and thank you to all the teams who have enabled us to adapt our traditional customer service offering in the past year and continue to impress both our customers and the Chamber of Commerce too."

The awards ceremony was the first to be held by the Chamber for two years after the previous awards nights were derailed by the pandemic.

Sponsored by Folk2Folk and hosted by magician Ben Hanlin, the awards night saw more than 700 guests from businesses across the two counties.

Sharon Smith, chief executive of the chamber of commerce, said: “After such a tough period for companies, the innovation and determination shown by our two counties business community demonstrates resilience and resourcefulness that is unique to the Herefordshire and Worcestershire area.

"I would like to wish all of those businesses who were finalists, highly commended and proud winners on the night my sincere congratulations and I hope that everyone within their organisations can be proud of their achievements.”
